This Privacy Notice explains how the organisers of the event "Illicit Trade in Europe: New Security Dynamics, Emerging Risks and Why Policy Matters" (the "Event") collect, use, and protect your personal data. The Event is co-hosted by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and the Transnational Alliance to Combat Illicit Trade (TRACIT).

When you register for the Event via our website, we collect the following information:

  • To comply with security requirements at the venue (The Skyline, Brussels).

  • Your Consent: By checking the agreement box on the registration form.

  • Legitimate Interest: To ensure the security and proper organisation of the high-level event.

5. Data Sharing

Your data is shared exclusively between the co-organisers (RUSI and TRACIT) for management purposes. We do not sell your data to third parties. Please note that a participant list (Name/Organisation only) may be shared with the venue security or provided to other attendees to facilitate networking.

6. Photography and Filming

Please be aware that photography and video recording will take place during the Event for reporting, communications, and promotional purposes. By attending, you acknowledge that your image may be used by the organisers. If you have any concerns, please contact us before the event.

7. Data Retention

We will keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the Event and to comply with legal obligations. After the Event, your data will be deleted unless you have explicitly opted in for future communications.
